We are the company behind Eclipse Mosquitto and Eclipse Streamsheets. 

What we do

The mission of Cedalo is to enable simple and agile digital transformation for organizations. Firstly, by providing a no-code software for data stream processing and an MQTT broker. With these products, anyone can create and monitor data streams and microservices for IoT.

, our products make it easy for professionals to contribute and shape IoT projects in their organization. Regardless of their technical or non-technical skills. With Streamsheets and Mosquitto, users can easily create, visualize and monitor real-time IoT data for various industries and use cases.

Who we are

We are the creator of Eclipse Streamsheets and the sponsor of the MQTT Eclipse Mosquitto Broker. Cedalo is founded by a team of entrepreneurs and technologists. Cedalo was founded in 2017 with its headquarters in Freiburg, Germany.
The team at Cedalo has successfully developed and delivered innovative products to the market. We know the business, the market trends, and the customers’ pain points. We can develop the solution. We can also deliver the solution through the right channel to the customer. We are passionate about innovation and seek to create change in industries using Streamsheets and Mosquitto.

Philipp Struss


Philipp Struss is the co-founder of Cedalo. He studied Industrial Engineering and Management (M.Sc.) at the KIT in Karlsruhe, the UPM in Madrid, and the University of Cambridge with focuses on data analytics, manufacturing, and Micro Electro Mechanical Systems (MEMS). He worked as an analyst in business intelligence (Jedox AG), as a process engineer in sensor production (Bosch), and as a strategic consultant (McKinsey).

Stefan Loelkes


Dr. Stefan Loelkes is the Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) of Cedalo. He studied Physics at the TU Munich and made his Ph.D. in Material Science at the University of Kiel, Germany, and the Ecole Polytechnique/CNRS, Palaiseau, France. He has 10 years experience in product development, project and product management for highly automated machines in various industry verticals. Before joining Cedalo, he was the CSO for the North American Branch of a Manufacturing Execution System (MES) provider.

Philip ACkermann


Philip Ackermann is the CTO of Cedalo and the Project Lead of Eclipse Streamsheets. Before joining Cedalo, he worked at the German Fraunhofer Institute for Applied Information Technology FIT. He is the author of several technical books and articles on Java, JavaScript, Node.js and fullstack web development as well as a blogger for Heise Developer. His focus is on the design and development of projects in the areas of Industry 4.0 and the Internet of Things.

There is a quote from Martin Fowler saying that "Any fool can write code that a computer can understand. Good programmers write code that humans can understand." We can extend this even further: Very good programmers write code that enables humans to write programs with no code. ; - )
